Belarus, China agreed to gradually expand Belavia flight route network

Aviation authorities from Belarus and the People’s Republic of China have held consultations in Beijing, sb.by reports citing the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry’s press service

“The parties agreed on a phased increase in the number of destinations, which will enable the expansion of Belavia’s regular flight routes to China,” the press service noted.

Additionally, during the talks, they approved the number of passenger and cargo flights between the two countries and reached a mutual understanding on the use of Belarusian airspace by Chinese airlines.

“The Belarusian side also proposed sharing experience in aviation personnel training between educational institutions in Belarus and China,” the press service added.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Olga Shapkova, the Deputy Director of the Aviation Department at the Transport and Communications Ministry. A protocol documenting the consultations was signed after the meeting.
