Belarus and Armenia to liaise in emergencies
Aleksandr Konyuk, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia, was invited to a tactical-special exercise – Rescue Operations in a Disaster Area Zone of a Strong Earthquake – as reported by the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Yerevan
The event – organised by Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations – was attended by Minister Andranik Piloyan, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, heads of diplomatic missions of the United States, France, Germany and other countries, as well as Armenian officials.
As informed by the Embassy of Belarus, the forces and means used by Armenia in emergency situations, including earthquakes, were presented to those present. The sides exchanged views on the timely response, as well as population evacuation from the affected areas.
In his talks with Armenia’s Minister of Emergency Situations, Andranik Piloyan, and the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, Ambassador Aleksandr Konyuk discussed the issues of intensifying co-operation and interaction with the relevant ministries and departments of our country.
