Belarus’ Ambassador to Kazakhstan awarded Order of Prince Alexander Nevsky of third degree

The head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Kazakhstan was awarded in accordance with the Decree of the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill. The solemn award ceremony took place at the Holy Assumption Cathedral in the city of Nur-Sultan.

According to the Belarusian embassy, during the awards ceremony, Metropolitan of Astana and Kazakhstan Alexander expressed deep gratitude to the Ambassador for his contribution to the development of peaceful ethno-confessional relations in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In turn, Pavel Utyupin noted the role that the Orthodox Church plays today in enhancing the spiritual development of society and building a peaceful dialogue in multi-confessional countries. The head of the diplomatic mission separately thanked the high clergy for assessing his work and assured of further support for the activities of the Russian Orthodox Church, aimed at maintaining peace and harmony in Kazakhstani society, and developing friendly ties between the peoples of Belarus and Kazakhstan.
