Barbie releases Queen Elizabeth doll on her 96th birthday

In honour of the 96th birthday of Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II, toymaker Mattel has released a limited edition of Barbie Queen dolls – as reported by Super.ru

Barbie Queen is part of the Tributes Collection, which is dedicated to famous and historical personalities.

The doll is wearing an ivory gown and features the tiara Queen Elizabeth wore for her wedding to Prince Philip. The pink and blue ribbons replicate those given to the Queen by her father, King George VI, and her grandfather, King George V.

The doll will come in a box inspired by Buckingham Palace, showcasing a throne and red carpet – as in the palace’s throne room. A logo in the form of a coat of arms will also be printed.
