Anti-fascist forum’s appeal urges to protect humanity from fascism

International solidarity will be able to protect humanity from the fascist threat and sliding into the abyss of world war – as stated in an appeal of the anti-fascist forum Tasks of the International Communist Movement in Struggle for Solidarity of Progressive Forces against New Fascist Threat to Humanity that has gathered representatives of more than 50 countries in Minsk today

“We, the participants of the international anti-fascist forum from Asia, America and Europe, have gathered in Minsk to say our firm ‘No!’ to war and reaction, neo-fascism and oppression.

As in the 1930s, a black smoke of military fires is spreading across our planet now, and it is increasingly blurring the horizon. This requires unity and courage from people of good will in their principled struggle against this new danger.

The direct support of the United States and its NATO allies has elevated the ideology of Nazism to the rank of the state one in Ukraine. For many years, Bandera followers have been ruling a bloody ball in Kiev, mocking the masses. They have turned Ukraine into a real concentration camp for differently-minded persons, shut down all objectionable media, banned opposition activities, and launched reprisals against Communists. All those who preserved the ideals of the brotherhood of peoples and loyalty to the Great Victory over fascism have been subjected to repression,” the document reads.

In their address, the anti-fascist forum participants stressed, “The unity and cohesion of the peace-loving forces of our planet is the key to success. The victorious resistance of the world reaction can only be worldwide. We are deeply convinced that our international solidarity will be able to protect humanity from the fascist threat and sliding into the abyss of world war. We firmly declare this here, in Belarus. The indissoluble connection between the past, present and future is especially acutely felt on this sacred land.

Let's unite in the fight against neo-Nazism, reaction and militarism! Long live the united front of progressive forces! Long live the solidarity of workers and peoples in the fight against fascism! We will not let the world blow up! They will fail!"

The anti-fascist forum was held today at the Belarusian State Museum of the Great Patriotic War History, and the international anti-fascist conference became its key event.

The Russian side was represented by the leaders of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation and the Central Council of the UPC-CPSU. Leaders and representatives of the Communist parties of Armenia, Georgia, Abkhazia, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Portugal, Germany and Hungary also arrived in Minsk. Communists of Moldova, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Transnistria, South Ossetia, Turkmenistan, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and other Communist parties from Europe, Asia and America participated in the anti-fascist forum via videoconference.

In the evening of the day of Belarus’ nationwide subbotnik, an Alley of Peace and Creation will be laid in Minsk.
