Most of the event was held behind closed doors, and Mr. Ambrazevich explained, “At this summit, the situation following the results of the [CSTO] monitoring mission was discussed very seriously and frankly. It was led by the CSTO Secretary General and worked in the area of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The parties managed to discuss, most importantly, the prospective reaction of our organisation to these issues. There is now a definite vision for the next few weeks of how this issue will be addressed.”

The Deputy Foreign Minister added that a trilateral meeting with participation of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan will be held in the coming days. In addition, the parties came to an understanding that the issue will be further considered at the next session of the CSTO Collective Security Council scheduled for the end of November.
