Almost 2,000 given a prison sentence in France for participating in pogroms this summer

Almost two thousand participants of the summer pogroms in France will serve their sentences in prisons – as informed by the official representative of the French Cabinet of Ministers, Olivier Veran, RIA Novosti reports

During a briefing after the Government meeting, Mr. Veran said, “The number of people sentenced for participating in pogroms has grown to 1,989. 90 percent of them were given a prison sentence."

Earlier, the Head of the French Cabinet of Ministers, Elisabeth Borne, said that the state will allocate 100m Euros to the municipalities of cities for the restoration of buildings after the pogroms.
