Belarus’ Agriculture and Food Ministry: Mongolia is a strategic partner for our country

Mongolia is a strategic partner for Belarus, Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of our country Vadim Shagoiko told reporters before the 7th meeting of the joint Belarusian-Mongolian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic Co-operation

“Mongolia is quite a strategic partner for us. The work has been going on for many years. We actively supply agricultural products and food there, increasing volumes every year. Moreover, we’re aimed at expanding the range of supplied products,” he underlined.

According to the Deputy Minister, it is planned to discuss issues of supply of livestock and breeding products with the Mongolian side.

“We plan to actively develop interaction in the field of livestock farming. Work is currently underway in this direction.”

The 7th meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Mongolian Intergovernmental Commission on Trade-Economic Co-operation is being held today in Minsk, with the parties planning to discuss the state and prospects of interaction across a wide range of areas, including industry, agriculture, transport and logistics, as well as finances, education, culture and science.

Following the meeting, it is planned to sign commercial documents on the supply of Belarusian agricultural machinery and breeding cattle of Belarusian selection to Mongolia.

Moreover, a busy programme has been prepared for the Mongolian delegation, which includes visits to the flagships of Belarusian industry, sectoral ministries and organisations, and agricultural enterprises.
