Lukashenko congratulated Belarusian Catholics on Christmas

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated Christians of Belarus who are celebrating Christmas on December 25th – as reported by the Belarusian leader’s press service

“The bright light of the Star of Bethlehem calls all believers to the most wonderful Christian holiday, which fills our hearts with great joy and hope, inspires us to do good deeds, and teaches us to show compassion and love for our neighbours,” reads the congratulatory message.

The Belarusian leader noted that Christmas is a time for sincere prayer in church and soulful family evenings, long-awaited children’s gifts and conscious charity, summing up and making plans for the future.

“I’m convinced that – united by loyalty to our native Belarus – together we’ll do everything possible to make every resident feel needed and happy,” the Head of State stressed.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished all strong health, success and optimism. “May the wonderful atmosphere of these days become an inexhaustible source of spiritual strength for the coming year,” he said.
