The exhibition in Minsk will be attended by more than 200 organisations from seven countries, including Belarus’ leading energy enterprises and globally known Rosatom, Siemens, Honeywell, Krohne, Tavrida Electric and others.
“During the event, we will discuss strategic directions of the energy sector development,” Olga Prudnikova, Belarus’ Deputy Energy Minister, said. “After the first power unit of the Belarusian nuclear power plant was commissioned, the country’s fuel and energy balance has changed significantly. Accordingly, the structure of electric energy production at our sources has changed, in addition to the structure of energy consumption. Electricity comes as a primary carrier for heating purposes and hot water supply. New vehicles are now being developed – including public transport and personal cars. Intensive evolution of this direction requires appropriate development of the power grid infrastructure and regulatory environment. Tariff policy issues are always of interest as well.”
The show – scheduled for October 12th-15th – will feature international specialised exhibitions: Energy. Ecology. Energy Saving. Electro; Oil&Gas Technologies; ATOMEXPO-Belarus; EXPOLIGHT; Water and Air Technologies; and EXPOCITY. In addition, the 25th Belarusian Energy and Ecology Congress will be organised.
Forum participants will discuss economic and environmental aspects of nuclear energy, prospects for the green economy development, topical issues in the field of energy efficiency and conservation, possibilities for further development of electric transport in the country. Digitalisation of the fuel-energy, production and petrochemical complexes will also be on the agenda. For the first time, the issues of training and retraining of engineering personnel for the fuel-energy and other industries will be discussed.
In addition, as Grigory Bondarev, the Director of Technics and Communications JSC, has informed, a contest of innovative and start-up projects – 2021 Belarus Energy Award – will be held during the forum, and results of the 2021 Energy Efficiency Leader Republican contest will be announced.
