Sabalenka remained second in WTA ranking

The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) has published an updated world ranking, with Aryna Sabalenka placed above all Belarusian female tennis players, retaining the second position after reaching the finals of the WTA 1000 tournament with a prize pool of $8,770,480 in Madrid

Victoria Azarenka moved up two places and is now the 24th racket of the world, while Aliaksandra Sasnovich dropped by four positions to occupy 113th line.

Poland’s Iga Swiatek is still taking the lead, followed in the top-10 by Aryna Sabalenka (Belarus), Coco Gauff (US), Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan), Jessica Pegula (US), Marketa Vondrousova (Czech Republic), Zheng Qinwen (China), Maria Sakkari (Greece), Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) and Jelena Ostapenko (Latvia).

In the ranking published by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), Ilya Ivashka lost three positions and is now 303rd, while another Belarusian, Egor Gerasimov, rose 11 places to be currently ranked 321st.

Serbian Novak Djokovic is in the lead, followed by Jannik Sinner (Italy), Carlos Alcaraz (Spain), Daniil Medvedev (Russia), Alexander Zverev (Germany), Andrey Rublev (Russia), Casper Ruud (Norway), Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece), Hubert Hurkacz (Poland) and Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria).
