“It’s too early to sum up the results of the combat readiness inspection, though there are features that we can already talk about with confidence,” he noted. “Firstly, the practice of involving instructors who were trained in Russia clearly proves efficient. Due to an opportunity to adopt modern combat experience and implement it at home, we are actually making a qualitative leap in the level of personnel preparedness. Secondly, the troops tested new methods of using weapons, as well as military and special equipment. During the exercises, much attention was paid to repelling air attack weapons, including unmanned aerial vehicles, increasing the survivability of units, and countering sabotage and reconnaissance groups. Even military reservists themselves, who served some time ago, note that the Belarusian army today has radically changed. Thirdly, people’s commitment to defending their country becomes apparent. I’ve talked to reservists in combat formations and different units and can say that people today do not need to be explained that our country’s security is a common matter. The understanding, interest and involvement of military personnel in the combat training process is what we see today at all stages of combat readiness inspection,” Leonid Kasinsky underlined.
