Lukashenko congratulated Belarusians on Labour Day: our people always been hard working

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the Belarusian people on Labour Day – May 1st, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

“I cordially congratulated you on Labour Day. Belarusians have always been known as hard working people, who treat the work they do wisely – and this have enabled us to build our state and preserve peace in our native land,” the congratulatory message reads.

According to the Belarusian leader, today – in the time when global competition for markets and resources has intensified – it is especially important to strengthen the common home, increase the prosperity of citizens, and ensure a happy future for children and grandchildren. “This is possible thanks to a conscientious and responsible attitude to work, perseverance in achieving goals, and an innovative approach to solving everyday tasks,” he said.

Aleksandr Lukashenko added that social partnership and constructive dialogue between government authorities and the trade union movement, which is celebrating its 120th anniversary, are a significant factor in strengthening the Belarusian model of social development.

“I am sure that, by continuing the traditions of the generation of winners, we will consolidate the glory of the Republic of Belarus as a strong, modern and technologically advanced country,” the Head of State stressed. “On this festive day, I thank all those who are committed to the work they do, and who contribute to the prosperity of our Motherland every day with their work. I wish you new achievements and professional victories, peace and prosperity to you and your families! Happy May Day!”
