Training ground for Abrams tanks to be prepared in Poland

The Polish authorities decided to create a large training base in the west of the country to train crews of American Abrams and Korean K2 tanks, TASS reports with reference to the Defence24 portal

According to the source, a tank training ground will be created on the basis of the ground forces training centre in Biedrusko. It is noted that the necessary infrastructure will be prepared within the next few years. It is also emphasised that an Abrams tank repair and maintenance centre was opened in Poznan in winter.

In January, Warsaw purchased 116 M1A1 Abrams tanks from the United States. All equipment should be delivered to Poland by the end of this year.
