"This is a historic visit for us. I would like to note the increased pace of the exchange of visits between high-ranking officials of Belarus and Russia," Mostafa Madbouly stressed, adding that the meeting was organised in order to enhance co-operation between the two countries.

"I would like to note the pace of work and joint actions at the level of foreign ministers. We have signed numerous agreements, protocols and memoranda in different fields, and we hope to conclude even more in the near future," the Egyptian Prime Minister said. "We want to increase the level of co-operation to match the capabilities of our states."

Mostafa Madbouly voiced some figures, stressing that the bilateral partnership has an even greater potential, “The trade turnover between our countries amounted to $95m in 2022, which is not high, but we hope to increase it in the near future, especially within the private sector. At the bilateral meeting, we discussed mechanisms for increasing trade turnover and achieving partnership between Belarusian and Egyptian companies in exports and imports of products to compensate for the positions that have been excluded, including pharmaceutical products. Egyptian companies are ready to supply these goods to the Belarusian market. In addition, we are ready to purchase agricultural machinery and products from Belarus. We hope to expand our co-operation."
