Yanchevsky: HTP will delight Belarus and surprise the world

The Hi-Tech Park created by the President has been a pride of Belarus, and it will remain such – as stressed by its Director, Vsevolod Yanchevsky, after his meeting with the Head of State today

Mr. Yanchevsky noted that the Park has been developing over these years thanks to the support of the Head of State and its stable working conditions. The President has not changed his attitude towards the HTP.

“The Head of State has once again confirmed his very clear, simple and unshakable position. Belarus has always supported new technologies and the IT industry. The President has supported the Hi-Tech Park, and this trend continues. The most important message is that we now need to look into the future – so that IT specialists and companies can calmly work, create and move forward in peace,” the HTP Director said.

According to Mr. Yanchevsky, starting from 2020, HTP has been, figuratively speaking, buried many times by some media which stated that all IT specialists had left the country, the industry had collapsed, and there was no HTP anymore.

“Nevertheless, the Hi-Tech Park is still here, and it will be,” Mr. Yanchevsky noted. “The vast majority of companies and programmers work in Belarus, while new companies are being registered. This is absolutely not propaganda. The HTP exports this year – which is very difficult – exceed the 2020 figures: more than $2bn over the first nine months. Belarus is known globally for many things, including its IT industry and the HTP, and I think there will be a lot more good news related to it. The Park – created by the President – has been a pride of Belarus, and will remain such. It will definitely please the country and surprise the world.”
