Belarusian karate players captured six awards at international tournament in UAE

Belarusians won six medals at the Emirates Sports Karate Open which gathered athletes from 19 countries, Ministry of Sports and Tourism reports Photo by Telegram channel of Ministry of Sports and Tourism Oleg Melekhin and David Nguyen captured gold, while Nikita Kirievich, Veronika Borovik, Irina Sharykhina and Maria Azarova won bronze medals.

Belarusian karate fighters claim two awards at the Karate1 Premier League tournament in Moscow

The most successful event was for Aleksei Vodchits (individual kumite, weight category over 84kg), who won silver. Bronze was claimed for the Belarusian squad by Anton Isakov (individual kumite, 84kg). In the women’s kumite, Maria Azarova (weight category 61kg) and Maria Alekseeva (68kg) took fifth places.
