Solemn rally dedicated to Day of Belarusian Police held in Mogilev District

A solemn rally was held at the memorial complex Police Battalion under the Command of Konstantin Vladimirov in the Mogilev District. It was attended by the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Mogilev Region Executive Committee, Major General of Police Igor Shcherbachenya, the Chairman of the Mogilev City Executive Committee, Aleksandr Studnev, heads of law enforcement agencies of the region, deputy heads of the Department of Internal Affairs in areas, veterans of the Department of Internal Affairs, awardees and personnel – as stated by the Department of Internal Affairs of the Mogilev Region Executive Committee.

The solemn ceremony began with the laying of wreaths and flowers at the mass grave. After that, Major General of Police Igor Shcherbachenya addressed the audience. 

“Today, as many years ago, the internal affairs agencies stand up for the protection of order and national security of our country. The police officers of the Mogilev Region carry out the fight against crime daily, 24/7, which allows people to feel safe. And this, in turn, is the main achievement and an indicator of success for the internal affairs agencies,” Igor Shcherbachenya noted.

Then, the Head of the Department of Internal Affairs presented awards to employees who achieved high performance in their official activities, as well as shoulder straps of the next special ranks. 

The Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Council of Veterans of Internal Affairs and Internal Troops, Yevgeny Kovalenok, also addressed warm words to the audience and presented certificates of honour to veterans. 

The invited guests also heartily congratulated the police officers, handing over well-deserved awards. The solemn event ended with a memorable photographing.
