President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation late on Thursday, February 19th, to address matters concerning the Union State’s upcoming Supreme State Council meeting, sb.by reports citing the Belarusian leader’s press service

“Indeed, the heads of state held a phone conversation yesterday evening. The presidents discussed matters to be considered at the upcoming Supreme State Council meeting. As you may know, it is scheduled for next week in Moscow. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin compared notes on the event agenda and most relevant items to be discussed in expanded talks and one-on-one session. The conversation touched upon certain issues of Belarusian-Russian relations,” the press service said in a statement.
