Media: President of Vietnam resigned

Vietnamese President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has announced today his decision to resign, TASS reports

According to the VnExpress news portal, the President's resignation was approved by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The source says the politician also no longer intends to be a member of the Political Bureau and the Central Committee of the Party.

The Vietnamese News Agency informs that Nguyen Xuan Phuc decided to leave the post of Head of State because of a corruption scandal in the government.
