Lukashenko: women keep family hearth and preserve traditional foundations of society
The balance of work and family responsibilities, the creation of the most comfortable conditions for self-realisation both in a career and in the honourable status of a mother are one of the priority tasks – as stated by the President during today’s meeting with activists of the Belarusian Women’s Union public association
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted, “We have provided women with an opportunity to work part-time, on a flexible schedule or remotely, e.g., from home. Now you can earn money and handle household chores without wasting time on the way to the office. This is just the beginning. We need to look at the operating hours of kindergartens and adapt them to parents. Moreover, you must be sure that your children – while studying at school, especially elementary school – will be under teachers’ supervision until the evening, if necessary.”
At the same time, the Head of State urged to remember that being a mother is the true purpose of a woman, “A woman-mother keeps the family hearth, as well as the traditional foundations of our society. By raising children to be patriots, you strengthen the state and lay a reliable foundation for the future of our Belarus. Therefore, give birth, raise, and take care of our children while we are obliged to provide you with peace and prosperity.”
