In particular, Aleksandr Lukashenko noted, “We would be pleased to welcome Prime Minister Modi in Belarus. We are always ready to greet him and eagerly anticipate his visit to Belarus (as does the entire Belarusian people). I am confident that Belarusians would be happy to see the Prime Minister — a highly experienced, smart and influential person — here in Minsk. We share very warm and friendly relations with Prime Minister Modi. We frequently engage with him at international events, as we recently did in China during the SCO meetings.”

The Belarusian leader also highlighted that India will assume the chairmanship of BRICS next year, stating, “We are ready to liaise with you during your chairmanship of BRICS and are committed to doing everything necessary to ensure your success.”

The Head of State also expressed gratitude to India for the assistance and support provided to Belarus in joining SCO, as well as for the partnership in organising BRICS, saying, “We gladly rely on your help and support, and you have always been willing to assist us.”
