Lukashenko held a series of telephone conversations on August 30th–31st

The President of Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has held a series of telephone conversations on August 30th-31st – as reported in the Belarusian leader’s press service

The Belarusian Head of State primarily discussed topical issues of Belarusian-Azerbaijani bilateral relations with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev. The leaders also shared their views on the topics of the international agenda.

The main topic of conversation with the President of Uzbekistan was the upcoming summit of the Shanghai Co-operation Organisation, which will be held in mid-September. The Belarusian leader plans to participate in this event. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke about the development of Belarusian-Uzbek collaboration both in the context of bilateral co-operation and through the prism of interaction in integration structures.

The upcoming summit in Uzbekistan was also discussed during a telephone conversation between Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin. The presidents of Belarus and Russia agreed to hold a meeting on the sidelines of the SCO. However, the leaders discussed not only these plans, but also the schedule of further contacts in general, as well as Belarusian-Russian relations, the most pressing issues and the situation in the region and worldwide.

The Belarusian leader also had a telephone conversation with the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, touching upon Belarusian-Kazakh relations and the international agenda.

A telephone conversation was also held with the Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Valentina Matviyenko.

There were also congratulations. Numerous messages from foreign leaders addressed to Aleksandr Lukashenko are also received these days, in particular, from Chinese President Xi Jinping, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Tajik President Emomali Rahmon, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.

Telegrams have also been received from well-known figures in various fields both near and far abroad, alongside from heads of integration structures.
