Addressing the festival participants and guests, the Head of State rightly noted that it is sometimes difficult to fully appreciate the path taken, as well as the scale and significance of achievements, while dealing with ongoing issues, “Our festival is very important from this perspective. Today, it has become a distinctive feature of the Pripyat Polesie, a celebration of friends and like-minded people, and a part of a major creative movement. I want to say to everyone watching and listening: we are open to the world and always welcome guests; we remember our roots and stay true to our traditions; we look confidently to the future and do everything to ensure it is peaceful and safe. Peace and security are the most crucial issues for the people of Polesie. You, more than any other Belarusians, understand the value of a peaceful life.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished everyone good health, kindness, and prosperity, and officially declared the Call of Polesie International Festival of Ethnocultural Traditions open.
