Kremlin announced BRICS partners since January 1st, 2025

Russia has already received confirmations from a number of states about their readiness to become BRICS partners, and this status will be assigned to them on January 1st – as announced by Russian Presidential aide Yury Ushakov, TASS reports

"One of the important results of the summit [in Kazan] was the establishment of the category of BRICS partner countries and the approval of a list of 13 states. Relevant invitations have been sent to these countries. By now, Belarus, Bolivia, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Cuba, Malaysia, Thailand, Uganda and Uzbekistan have confirmed their readiness to become BRICS partner states," Mr. Ushakov informed, adding that, from January 1st, 2025, they will officially acquire this status.

"We expect to receive responses from four more countries in the near future; invitations have been earlier sent to them as well,” the Russian Presidential aide noted.
