Kenya exploring MTZ export potential
Peter Mutuku Mathuki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kenya to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus, visited the Minsk Tractor Works to learn more of its export potential, MTZ JSC Telegram channel reports
"The guest visited the tractor equipment exhibition, the tractor assembly workshop and the MTZ museum," the company informed. “The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with BELARUS machinery in order to further facilitate the supply of products to the Kenyan market.”
In January 2025, following a visit to the enterprise by a delegation of the Pan-African Parliament, MTZ General Director Sergei Avramenko said that the Minsk plant was ready for mutually beneficial co-operation with all countries of the African continent. According to him, the number of African countries which buy MTZ products is growing. In early 2025, the shipment – envisaged by a contract with Nigeria for 2,000 units – was completed. Tractors are being actively supplied to Zimbabwe. Two 350HP BELARUS energy-saturated tractors and attachments were shipped to Kenya.
