Foreign gunmen participated in riots in Kazakhstan, Russian Foreign Ministry says
The riots that took place in Kazakhstan in early January involved foreigners, gunmen who had gained experience abroad and in hot spots – as stated by Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov, RIA Novosti reports
"As informed by Kazakhstan’s law enforcement agencies, among the attackers were foreigners and gunmen who had gained experience abroad and in hot spots. Accordingly, aggression of international terrorist gangs that have undergone serious training abroad is in place,” the diplomat commented.
On Wednesday night, the state of emergency and curfew in Almaty and other regions of Kazakhstan ended.
