Jiří Ješeta, the Deputy CEO of Czech Railways, said the problem is being solved in different ways. For example, where there is a shortage of higher quality vehicles, standard quality is used to fill capacity. The shortage covers not only trains, but also staff.

Wagons that have already been decommissioned and used only in emergency cases are now in service. The national carrier also lacks trains for regional and long-distance lines.
