Belarus set record at MILEX-2025 by signing $390m+ contracts

Belarus signed a record number of contracts at the MILEX-2025 exhibition in Minsk: their total amount exceeded $390 million – as announced by Dmitry Pantus, the Chairman of the State Authority for Military Industry, in his talk with the First Information TV channel

MILEX-2025 was held from May 21st to 24th, and it once again confirmed the status of the most important platform for demonstrating the achievements of the military-industrial complex and strengthening strategic partnership. The event gathered 150 companies from Belarus, representatives of India, Iran, China, Pakistan and Russia, as well as official delegations from almost thirty countries. During the exhibition, they discussed the full range of pressing issues facing the arms industry and the scientific community.

According to Mr. Pantus, compared to the previous exhibition held in 2023, this year’s event has significantly increased in terms of the number of companies represented and the amount of contracts signed. “We have broken the record of the last MILEX exhibition ($277m of contracts were concluded then),” he said. “This year, the figure has exceeded $390m. We are working very closely with the Russian Federation, co-operative ties have reached their peak, and our military-technical interaction are on the high. No product of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus can do without joint supplies, and we do not even consider it a foreign product. A lot of joint development work is underway."

Mr. Pantus drew attention to the fact that the countries are finalising the formation of a military-technical co-operation programme until 2030. Despite the pressure and sanctions, fruitful liaisons in the defence industry continue, and the sphere itself is actively developing. "Much has been done to make us feel confident," he added. "And we continue to feel confident: these are the fruits of real and sincere joint work.”
