Belarus, India agreed to promote joint projects in drug production and development

The development and production of the Belarusian-Indian medicines for various purposes became the main topic of the talks held on August 12th between Vladimir Karanik, Chairman of the Presidium of Belarus’ National Academy of Sciences (NAS) and Lalit Chokhani, Head of Chokhani Pharma, sb.by reports citing the NAS Telegram channel

The NAS noted, “During the meeting, the sides discussed co-operation in advancing joint projects in development and production of medicines, as well as promoting it in the Belarusian market, in particular, for the needs of dentistry, the treatment of bronchial asthma, etc.”

In addition, the scientific organisation stated that ACADEMPHARM is currently completing the construction of a new production building with the Yusuf Khadija Scientific and Research Centre. The head of Cipla Limited, the Indian pharmaceutical company, had previously invested $1m in the construction of this centre.

“The co-operation with Indian partners will significantly expand manufacturing and scientific capabilities of ACADEMPHARM by providing it with modern infrastructure to develop advanced pharmaceutical solutions,” the NAS emphasised.
