More than 500 people from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Ukraine take part in the searches.

The international search expedition ‘Watch of memory of the CIS states-participants’ has gone to the Temkino District, as there were fierce battles during the retreat of 1941 and the offensive operation of 1943.

In parallel to the basic works, the expedition organisers will carry out an educational watch, teach volunteers the theory and practice of archival-field research. About 200 novice searchers from Russia and other countries of the CIS will have training in the camp at this time.

All relics found during the expedition, will be transferred to museums. The remains of soldiers found in excavation zone will be formally buried in the Temkino District.
