Deputy director general of “Beltransgaz” Vinery Volchuga told a news briefing. Belarus has already reserved land plots for the new strand of the gas-main, Vinery Volchuga told reporters.
As an example of mutually beneficial cooperation between “Beltransgaz” and Gazprom the deputy director general cited an early launch of the first “Yamal-Europe”’s section. According to him, in 2005 it transited a total of 29.5 billion cubic meters of gas. This year gas export volume is expected to reach 33 billion cubic meters.

Belarus’ gas transport monopoly “Beltransgaz” is optimistic about the settlement of disputes over the construction of the second Belarusian section of the “Yamal-Europe” gas pipeline
