More than 40 icons are on display at a personal exhibition of works of artist Yadviga Senko at the Museum of the History of Theatrical and Musical Culture

Since 1997, the creative output of this artist has been solely concerned with the theme of Christianity. With the blessing of the Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk Filaret, she makes copies of icons that are already well known in the Orthodox world. There are Catholic icons and famous biblical stories among her works. Yadviga Senko is the author of more than 1,800 icons and pictures on a Christian theme. Her works can be seen in holy places both in our own country and abroad, as well as in some museums.  

The artist says that in her creative work she aims to bring light and joy to people, giving hope that kindness and beauty, charity and faith in God will save the world. Her life’s work aims to build a temple in her soul, each day she begins her creative thought processes with this in mind.

Yadviga Senko lives in Molodechno. She studied oil painting and graphics at the Moscow University of Art. More than 150 personal exhibitions of icons and pictures have been already held. In addition, the artist is the author of more than 600 floral paintings and landscapes. The works of Yadviga Senko are to be found in private collections in the Ukraine, Russia, Armenia, the Baltic States, Poland, Germany, Italy, France, England, and the USA.
