Lukashenko congratulated President of Syria on Evacuation Day

The President of the Belarus, Aleksandr Lukashenko, has congratulated President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad and the Syrian people on Evacuation Day – a symbol of independence and sovereignty of this country, sb.by reports with reference to the Head of State’s press service

“For a long time, the residents of your state have courageously resisted unfair external pressure and the threat of the spread of terrorism in the country and throughout the Middle East region,” the Belarusian leader noted. “I’m sincerely confident that the Syrians are able to overcome the existing difficulties and take the path of reviving the republic. In turn, we will continue to support brotherly Syria to achieve peace, stability and prosperity.”

The President of Belarus is convinced that ‘the ties established between Minsk and Damascus, which traditionally are peculiar for open dialogue and mutually beneficial co-operation, will continue to deepen’.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the President of Syria strong health and fruitful work, and harmony and prosperity to the friendly people of Syria.
