Iran started building new nuclear power plant Karun

Iran has started building a new nuclear power plant, Karun – as announced by the Director of the Atomic Energy Organisation of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, TASS reports

According to the official, Iran intends to invest at least $5bn in the extraction of radioactive materials in the province of West Azerbaijan. The country has already started building a new nuclear power plant there. Its capacity will make at least 300 megawatts.
