Top-Top, Children’s Fashion Theatre from the town of Novopolotsk performed on many prestigious fashion stages
The Children’s Fashion Theatre has been created seven years ago under the Novopolotsk center for social and cultural activities. Some of its alums devoted themselves to fashion business and became children’s and adult fashion designers. The most important thing, says the theater manager Yelena Medvedskaya, is that boys and girls are able to create their unique image. They are trained to walk down the catwalk and learn choreography, attend costume stylistics and graphics classes and study etiquette and aesthetics. Specially designed for children, the training program enables them to acquire knowledge easily, develop interpersonal skills, self-confidence, taste and artistry.
“Each child’s individual image is cherished like a precious flower,” tells Yelena Medvedskaya. “Our goal is to improve it, make it shine and emphasize special features. Our theatre performances are always heartily welcomes at competitions and festivals. We were the winners of such fashion competitions as Fashion Angels, Fashion Mill and White Amphora.
Top-Top collaborates with both domestic and international leading manufacturers of children’s footwear and clothes. Recently it has been chosen to represent Sela and Broadway brands.
Owing to Top-Top Novopolotsk is considered a center of children’s fashion in Belarus. At the moment, the young models are preparing for the second Kids Couture competition (the first was held last year) and hope to impress the jury and audience with a new fashion collection. In December, the country’s leading designers will meet in Novopolotsk. Yelena Medvedskaya and her young fosterlings are going to showcase a collection dedicated to the Olympic Games and another one, Walking Along Molodezhnaya, celebrating the main street of the town.
