In his letter, Mr. Kellenberger expresses his gratitude to Belarus for the important step it has taken in acceding to the Protocol Additional to the Geneva Conventions of 12th August 1949, relating to the Adoption of the Additional Distinctive Emblem.
Mr. Kellenberger’s letter reads: ‘I would like you to know of my profound gratitude for this manifestation by your country of its unchanging commitment to the cause of inspiring and consolidating respect for international humanitarian law’.
