By May 2006 the Research-and-Production Enterprise “Agate-System” is going to complete the development of the information-and-technological complex for the new building of the National Library.

The Enterprise’s director Valery Sysoyev reported that, in accordance with the project, 14 information systems will be integrated into one computation centre. It will control visitors’ work with the catalogues, searching and ordering of books, their delivery from the book depository, record keeping of library stock, as well as the work of the library’s employees and functioning of its web site. The complex will start functioning to the full extent in October 2006.
