Scientific basis for electronic future

5th International Congress “Electronic commonwealth. Park of high technology. Safe telematic applications” took place in Minsk.

During two days the conference hall of National Academy of science saw joint efforts of scientists aimed at analyzing problems related to establishment of Belarusian ‘Silicon Valley’ and development of safe information environment. Problems of implementation and application of electronic teaching aids, banking systems, bar code arrangement, control of freight traffic, distant medicine, and electronic bargaining were in the agenda.

Participants to the Congress also considered implementation of State information program “Electronic Belarus”. In particular, scientists addressed questions of safe access to information resources and fighting cyber crimes in the realm of IT. The issue of safe electronic access to information resources of the new National library was topical at the forum as well.
