The Finance Ministry is funding the operation of the Belarusian Embassy in Spain, using money from the national budget of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, set aside for the maintenance of diplomatic missions and consular posts abroad.
Diplomatic relations between Belarus and the Kingdom of Spain were established on February 13th, 1992. In 2015, bilateral trade totalled $269.9m, with exports comprising $20.8m. Spanish investments into the Belarusian economy totalled $0.5m in 2015.
