The trucks are expected to facilitate the further increase in Belarus’ exports to its western neighbor. Belarus will redouble efforts to diversify exports and increase the share of commodities that still account for a minor part of total supplies. This group of commodities includes MAZ buses and trucks.
Poland enjoys financial support of the European Economic Council as a new member, road construction being one of the sectors to develop. Belarus and its MAZ and BelAZ trucks may be involved in development projects all over Poland. Besides, Podlaska Voivodship receives considerable financial support for its farming, and Belarus may hike supplies of tractors, fertilizers and machinery to that Polish region.
