18-year-old Igor Boky finished the first at the distance of 100 metres with free style, and 31-year-old Lyudmila Volchok came the third in rowing. Boky renew world and Paralympic record, swimming the distance for 51.91 seconds.

“I started quite good, but by the middle of the race it became hard: hands became numb, maybe because I was nervous or because I wanted this medal very much. Thanks God, we got bronze medal. The competition was extremely tough, everyone saw that the Brazilian and the Israeli were very close. There were not such gaps between rivals, as it was in Beijing,” said after race Lyudmila Volchok.

In medal count, Belarus with its two gold, one silver and two bronze medals occupies 22nd place. Top five includes China (35, 24, 28), Great Britain (16, 24, 14), Australia (14, 11, 18), Ukraine (13, 8, 12) and Russia (12,13,9).
