Darya Blashko pleased with her successes

Darya Blashko is twice world champion among under-19 biathletes (Belarus’ Raubichi last hosted the event in February 2015). She comments, “My winning the IBU Junior Cup overall rankings has been important to me, being a result of my work across the whole season. Many strong foreign biathletes were eager to win so I had to fight for first place. I’m happy with my achievement. This success among juniors is a great motivator for the future.”

The President of Belarus and the President of the National Olympic Committee, Alexander Lukashenko, has sent greetings to Darya, stating: ‘Your success has enthused all Belarusian sporting amateurs. Junior achievements instill confidence in the future of the Belarusian biathlon school. I’m sure that, tomorrow, you’ll conquer the highest sporting summits. That’s the way to go!’

The Head of State also wished all members of the team health, happiness and new achievements.
