The new National Airport taxi rank is linked to two desks within the air terminal, from which passengers may book and pay for a car. A coupon with the number of the car is then issued, and the ‘rank’ on which the taxi will be waiting is displayed on a monitor. Taxis working for other companies will continue to operate from a controlled rank, being allowed to wait for 20 minutes free, and paying Br100,000 for each hour thereafter.
