He adds, “Some staff will continue to work in the old office; primarily those related to the retail business.”  The bank is focusing on a client-centred approach, with attention given to medium and small businesses, expanding the range of services available. He tells us, “We plan to continue opening new branches to the public next year, since this will allow us to balance various areas of business and become a truly universal bank.”

At the opening ceremony of the new office of the bank, the Chair of the National Bank of Belarus, Nadezhda Yermakova, stressed, “BelVEB has established itself countrywide. Importantly, it gained a new shareholder — Vnesheconombank.” Ms. Yermakova wished the bank success via strong finances, good customers and a sustainable loan portfolio. In turn, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BelVEB, Board Member of Vnesheconombank Piotr Fradkov noted that the opening of the new office of BelVEB is the next stage in the bank’s development. “For the past few years, the bank has made a significant step forward in terms of technology, assessing the needs of a modern banking institution,” emphasised Mr. Fradkov.
