In the decisive duel of the competitions, which are part of World Tour series, the leader of the Belarusian national team confidently defeated the Swedish tennis player, Simon Arvidsson — 4:1.
The experienced Samsonov perfectly passed through the tournament defeating Swedish player Alexander Franzén, (4:0), the Belgian Lauric Jean (4:0), the Italian, Marco Daldosso (4:2), Benjamin Brossie from France (4:1) and Portuguese athlete Tiago Apolonia (4:0).
During a long professional career, 38-year-old Vladimir Samsonov has won the World Cup three times, twice was silver prize-winner of the World Championships and 6 times winner of the European Championships. His track record also includes victories of competitions on the World Tour.
