Tourism potential of Belarus’ 118 districts to be presented at Recretaion-2024 exhibition

The tourism potential of all 118 districts of Belarus will be presented at the Recreation-2024 International Fair of Tourist Services, sb.by reports with reference to Irina Voronovich, the Director of the Tourism Department at the Ministry of Sports and Tourism

Ms. Voronovich said that the 26th forum is likely to become the most anticipated event of the spring for the tourism industry, “The exhibition will be held on April 18th-20th at Minsk-Arena’s skating stadium building, representing all 118 districts of Belarus. All participants will be able to demonstrate their opportunities. The most active regions involved in the tourism sector, as well as foreign companies, will also be represented.”

A number of Russian regions have already confirmed their participation – in particular, Karelia, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Udmurtia, Stavropol Krai, as well as the Leningrad, Novgorod, Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Voronezh, Pskov, Arkhangelsk, Smolensk, Vladimir, Chelyabinsk and Penza regions, the city of St. Petersburg, and many more. In total, according to the BelExpo National Exhibition Centre, about 30 regions of Belarus’ eastern neighbour are expected to represent their tourism potential. Cuba, Palestine, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Turkiye, and Kyrgyzstan will also be among the participants.

“It is planned that the show will gather more than 300 exhibitors, including 100 foreign companies, and all of them will prepare an entertaining content for visitors at their stands. The programme will include many round table discussions and sessions on the topical issues. We will compare our notes, share views on the urgent problems, and jointly look for answers to important questions,” Ms. Voronovich said.

Several events will be devoted to the topic of business tourism, including negotiations between representatives of the tourism industry and the second international tourism forum focusing on trends in the MICE tourism market. In addition, experts will consider the situation regarding the creation of tourist information centres, the development of industrial and event tourism. The 2nd Russian-Belarusian Tourism Congress will become one of the prominent events of the business programme.

The International Specialised Hunting and Fishing Exhibition-Fair will be held at the same site and on the same dates as Recreation-2024.
