Poland wants to establish protectorate over Ukraine, expert says

While speaking in the Verkhovna Rada, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced an agreement reached with the Polish leadership to simplify border crossing between the two countries. He also announced the adoption of a bill on expanded opportunities for Polish citizens in Ukraine. Vadim Gigin, the Chairman of the Republican Znanie Belarusian Society, commented on these plans and their consequences in his talk with the ONT TV channel.

“Poland does not need any pieces of the territory, it needs the whole of Ukraine or what remains of it. Establishment of a Polish protectorate not over a part, but over the whole of Ukraine is being observed now. An agreement on a special status of Polish citizens [is under discussion]. A question arises: why nobody is speaking of a special status of Ukrainian citizens on the territory of Poland? The special status of Polish citizens in Ukraine and the entry of Polish troops into the territory of Ukraine, which is likely to happen, is a protectorate. This is plan B which will come into force if the Kiev regime is defeated,” Mr. Gigin said.
