The President of Zimbabwe stressed that both he and Aleksandr Lukashenko do not believe in long speeches, but believe in real deeds and tangible results of co-operation – i.e. tractors in the field where the ceremony took place. "If you do not believe, then come up and touch them," the Belarusian leader smiled.

Emmerson Mnangagwa noted that both Zimbabwe and Belarus are subject to Western sanctions. Therefore, it is not surprising that the countries have begun to co-operate. "We liaise, practically helping each other," he stressed.

The Zimbabwean leader added that the agricultural sector accounts for a large share of his country’s economy, and Zimbabwe has ensured its food security. "We have a vision, and we have a friend who shares it. We have achieved this with the support of my brother, Aleksandr Lukashenko," Emmerson Mnangagwa noted.
