The protocol on amendments to the EAEU Treaty envisages a comprehensive review of the document taking into account law enforcement practice (more than 130 edits are made). In particular, gaps in legal regulation are eliminated, and the terminology used in the treaty is brought to uniformity. Amendments also concern application of anti-dumping measures against third countries, collection of indirect taxes and control over their payment, as well as competition and state price regulation.

The Eurasian Economic Commission is given additional powers, including to assess a regulatory impact of draft international treaties within the framework of the EAEU, which may affect the conditions of doing business, to co-ordinate the extension of the term of state price regulation. The protocol offers a solution to a number of issues that emerged during the administration of indirect taxes in mutual trade of the EAEU economic entities.

Another ratified protocol amends the Treaty on the EAEU in terms of pension provision for officials and employees of the EEC and the EAEU Court who are citizens of Russia.

The use of the Agreement on Auditing Activities in the EAEU will make it possible to form unified approaches to the regulation of auditing activities in the Union countries, to ensure the provision and receipt of audit services without exceptions and restrictions, and to recognise auditors' qualification certificates and audit opinions.
